This is an older park that is celebrating its 80th anniversary, so the changing rooms/concessions are dated. The pool is great! Water slide, jumping rocks, shallow area for small kids, larger area with depths between 1.5 – 5ft, and a roped off 15ft deep diving area with diving boards ranging from 2-15ft high. This park also has an outdoor pool table and allows Birthday parties. It is located pretty far off the road, so if you feel like you are about to drive into someone’s backyard, keep going! A little pricey ($15) during the day, but we went on a weekday after 3pm and the price drops to $8. Definitely worth a trip and not crowded!

Deserves way more than a 2 rating. Could use some more out outside tables. But there were several! If you are planning a trip for just a few people or for more than 10 you need to go read the rules and regulations. You can bring your own floats. You can have pop up shade tents they just have to be in the grass. And that makes sense. The lifeguards have to see the swimmers. You can bring your own food and coolers!! They have outdoor “trailer bathrooms” with AC (or a really nice fan) fully stocked. It was a little crowded but the heat index was 100+ I wouldn’t have assumed anything less. We had a great time 20+ in our group. I didn’t take pics of the water slide…. But it is great for all ages!

It’s been years since I went to Kool Park with my children. Twice this summer we took two of my grandchildren. It’s like a step back in time. Love that you can bring your picnic and snacks into the park. Definitely will return next summer.
